Student Life

■ Extra Curricular Activities

In the Daytime Intensive Program, we go on class outings several times a year. We have visited art museums, historical museums, traditional Japanese style gardens, and even a beer factory in the last few years. This is a perfect opportunity to practice what you cover in class. Nichibei Kaiwa Gakuin is also running English courses in the same building You will be able to communicate with Japanese people. Also, you will be able to share the way of Japanese people’s thinking and sense of values through those exchanges.

■ Living Expenses

Other than tuition fee and rent, you will need approximately ¥60,000 per month for living expenses in Tokyo. Before beginning life in a foreign country, it is necessary to be financially prepared to handle unforeseen circumstances that may arise. Please note that you will be unable to cover all living expenses by working part-time. Students who have a Student-visa must obtain a part-time job permit which is issued by the Tokyo Immigration Bureau. Assistance for obtaining a part-time job permit is available.

However, you cannot apply for it until after the first month of instruction.
